June 30th was a historic day for Bologna. After 162km, the second stage of the Tour de France entered the city for an grand finale on a double circuit with two passes through San Luca and the arrival in via Irnerio. Approximately 100,000 people took to the streets to watch the race.
Thanks to all the people and institutions involved during these days who, with their work, contributed to the great success of the Bologna stage of the Tour de France. Thanks to the volunteers, to all the personnel of the Municipality of Bologna, to the officers of the local police, emergency services, and all law enforcement agencies.
